Good news. I'm sure Jake and Tom are delighted to have the club putting faith in them and I look forward to them continuing to push for the first team.
Well earned. Despite our mediocre performances in the Europa League, they've largely been a highlight. Livermore's become a dependable squad player and Carroll looks like a real prospect. I think that both are in a great position to learn from ideal, experienced players, too. Parker's game should be an inspiration and a guide for Livermore, whereas Modric has the same slight build as Carroll, but doesn't let it damage the role that they share. If we can get everyone fit though, there may be a dilemma for Redknapp, as neither will get much game time. I can't remember the last time that happened, but if it does then a loan deal might be best for one of them. Carroll was linked with Fulham recently, where he could probably pick up a trick or two from Danny Murphy.
I'm glad to hear this news. We need our talented youth to be promoted and encouraged. Let's hope they get the chances to develop their trade, and not stagnate in the ranks, ruing their commitment to our club.
Yep good news indeed, as long as we have decent Cup runs, there'll definitely be a place ATM for Livermore. He has already have clocked up a lot of game time this season, including a fair number of Prem minutes. With Carroll much will depend on how strong he can get, but he's definitely a decent prospect.
I think we've shown a marked improvement in that, after Jol's later sides, Ramos' term and early 'Arry era. We've had our Ricketts' and Ifill's in the past but it's the only acid test we have by giving them opportunites in the first team and not just the Europa first team.
