Have to say I think HDQ has a point about where Dean is from. Why on earth is it necessary to have a ref from the local area? It makes no sense whatsoever for either side. For us he might as HDQ notes be sympathetic towards local sides. For them he may be die hard and really hate all other local sides. Either way its seems an unnecessary risk given the number of refs?

We are going to get badly spanked either way.

 

When I have been to watch Gateshead play
fans stay behind to watch the footie results coming in
there is a cheer if Newcastle win there is also a cheer if Sunlund win
now these guys are out and out Gateshead fans but they do look towards the bigger teams as a second option / favourite team

I will be keeping a close eye on Dean and getting professional advice on his performance
I can't see how Dean could be not be swayed to either one or both teams, in another hotbed of football on Merseyside
