I care about England mate they are my national team.

It breaks my heart when we don't do well at tournaments.

I would lose Woy tomorrow if it was possible.
I would sack the FA as well and put in ex players and managers in their places.
We actually seemed to be moving forward under Venables and their response was to sack him in 96.
They picked Keegan because the press liked him FFS!
At least Keegan was man enough to admit he wasn't up to the job.

We need a strong manager who isn't scared to drop the so called star players.
If they are out of form or don't fit a certain system.

Can't see what all the fuss is all about for the England set up. Hodgson has managed international teams before to good effect and he follows on from taking Fulham to heights that we as a club would have loved. All the managers appointed since Sir Alf Robson were also appointed after doing good work for their clubs so shooting at him is based on some not rating him because he did not choose a Sunderland player who is having a good run of form.

He was on a hiding to nothing for the last world cup where he had a choice of taking older players for one last tournament, or the players he did cionsisting of mature and young. That failed, but if the same results had happened he would have been crucified for taking older players who were past it. Now he is looking for a midfield combination to take over from two retired players. For my money he is looking for the balance that is necessary for any good team.

Maybe a bit more patience to see how the team as a whole performs rather than lying in wait to ambush him if they do not gel immediately.

Almost everything you say is true .......... sadly Hodgson couldn't inspire me to drink beer & look at lasses.

I'm surprised some of the other national managers don't ruffle his hair and give him a Werther's Original <doh>
