Long list of players who would never come to Bristol City in a million years and if they did we could not afford to pay their exorbitant salaries. End of story unless you know something we don't.
Its shows that there are plenty of players struggling to find teams. Yes most of them would not consider moving to us but there are a few name who would only drop one league for us like Reading's Alex Pearce and Simon Church would be lovely in a red shirt. Pearce is a solid centre defender and Church is a goalscorer
Plus Lee Camp is being strongly linked with us mainly I think because of his S O'D links but many players are going to find it a different world with FFP and the salary cap starting to bite it's going to be harder and harder to get the wages they have been used to and they are going to find that unless they reduce their wage demands they are going to find themselves out of work. Mind you there is one good thing about the restricted wages I think many a player is going to wonder if paying 10% of their wages to an agent is a good idea and we might be seeing the start of the demise of the leeches.
Noel Hunt could strengthen our midfield. I love the pessimists on our board, they won't come here blah blah. Why not at the moment they ain't working so anything is better than nothing. You don't try you don't know, no one thought in a million years coming back from a world cup that David James would come here. I know he was on a fortune but some will move if their needs must.
We should just try for all the young uns like Wynter. I have a bad feeling about Wynters contract though. What if he has a great season and attracts interest, He'll only have 1 season left with us on his contract, Think he should of been given a 3 year deal with a option to extend it another year after so many starts
I suppose it might be the player only wanted a 2 year deal to see how things went. Shiny although a one year extension would have been a good idea though as we don't know the exact details of the contract there might be clauses in it we don't know.
