Jonathan Woodgate could make his debut as Stoke play their first European match in 37 years.

The former England defender is Stoke's sole summer signing after he was released by Tottenham.

And manager Tony Pulis is set to start him in the first leg of the Europa League third qualifying round tie.

Pulis said: "He's been first class. Whether we take a chance and play him, we'll have to wait and see, but he's close.
