i really cant see many people willing to spend 90k a week on player who has did nothing now for a few years. i guess we're just guna have to get used to all these romours now
I actually have this one in the 'maybe' category. He is clearly not going to make the breakthrough at Anfield having been through a couple of managers there and the other top clubs are unlikely to want to take a punt on him. And returning to the London area would be attractive to Cole. The 90k a week would be the stumbling block of course - there is absolutely no sign QPR will be paying those kind of wages.
I'd have him at the right money. Let's see how keen he is to play first team football. He would neatly fit into our current system, and, let's be honest, would have more chance of succeeding than Routledge or Tommy Smith (much as I love Tommy Smith)
Sid, It's not letting me see your article for some reason. Or the other QPR related article. Any ideas why?
Where? My Article on the articles bit, if so, i got that as well for the other QPR article (can't remember who by). Does it say you cant access the page then like this may be cos you don't have sufficient privilges?
Just wait lads, you'll find as the newly promoted club, you'll be linked with every fringe/expensive/daft/one legged player that ever lived. At first it's a novelty, then it gets annoying, then it just gets farcical. As a Hull City fan, I saw us linked with everyone from Michael Owen(who was allegedly seen parking his helicopter at a local school), to ÃÂlvaro Negredo(a 15m Euro deal with Real Madrid). The daftest rumour of all was the fact that we'd pay ã5m for Jimmy Bullard, at ã45k a week for 4 1/2 years, with no medical insurance, despite an appalling injury record. Unfortunately, that one turned out to be true.
Cheers Lambretta, we've had this sort of bull**** for a couple years now, since the new investment came in. It gets so ridiculous it's just funny now.
