    Nope... unfortunately not Messi, but we're today being linked with the Argentinian striker Juan Manuel Martínez who currently plays for Vélez Sársfield.

    By looking at his goal scoring record, It seems like he is far from impressive as a goal scorer (19 in 129 for Velez). He's also 25 which seems odd because he's not managed to really prove himself as a striker up until now... but then I want to know why he won Argentinian player of the year 2010?

    Wikipedia describes him as a Second striker/Winger, so perhaps we're looking at him to play alongside Ba?

    I personally would rather see us sign Erding, but I can't help liking that we're linked with someone who has just won Argentinian player of the year, an award which the likes of Sebastián Verón, Carlos Tevez, Gabriel Milito and Lionel Messi have won in recent years.

    Sounds like he has a similar style to Erdinc. Not prolific but can set up goals and play off a front man.

    Basically we're renewing our Xisco with a better model.

    Weren't Arsenal interested in him? Wouldn't mind having him if he's fairly cheap even with that ****e record!

    Why can't we give Xisco a chance? Is it because of a clause in the contract($$$) or simply because he isn't good enough?

    For Carroll's third goal you can see Xisco made a assist. Surely that ''payment'' isn't that MUCH? I think he deserves a chane, either that or sell him I say. <ok>

    I think that was his chance before the clause would be activated. One more game after the Villa game (which I think might have been his 9th app for us) and we have to pay something like another million.

    I agree but it seems as though something has made us decide against it. Maybe he wants to move back home or is just ****e in training.
