The Evening Standard are claiming that 'Arry is interested in using the reported 'fall out' Zamora has had with BMJ as a chance to buy him.

    One question: why!?

(can't be bothered to find a link...)

BZ would be exactly the type of cover we need for Adebayor, but I can't see him being happy to be bench warmer for us.

If he didn't mind the role of cover and we could agree terms, I would love him back at the Lane.

Pluses: Can hold the ball up, has a higher workrate than Pav
Minuses: Thinks the world owes him a favour, failed for us once, would demand first-team football despite being a squad palyer

Would fit perfectly into our system and perfect cover for ade. Also proven in prem and a real nightmare for defenders on his day

I've been really impressed with Zamora's transformation from a failed poacher into a physical, battling, hold-up forward in the Premier League.
Rather than being a bit of a Huckerby (too good for the Championship, not good enough for the top-flight), he reinvented himself in a different role.

If he'd accept a back-up role, behind both Adebayor and Defoe in the pecking order in all likelyhood, then I'd be happy to see him back.
I can't see why he would though, so I'd expect him to move to somewhere in need of a proven striker, where he'll be adored by the fans for his attitude, no doubt.
O'Neill might take him to Sunderland, for example.
He'd be an ideal replacement in his system for Emile Heskey.

  7. I quite like BZ, but I do admit that I find something of the "Heskey" about him. He's that type of forward who should have done so much more than he has, but he's never quite made it.

I agree. Although Zamora may see it as a chance to win something and a decent chance to play in the CL before he retires.

Kaboul was a Spurs reject. If there's one thing 'Arry loves, it's resigning Spurs players; Kaboul, Defoe, Crouch, Chimbonda, Keane and I'm sure there's another I'm forgetting.

    Chimbonda again?
How many times did we sign him? I forget.

His shooting this season resembles what it did for us the first time...row Z(amora), its where the song came from remember! 3 goals so far, I think his little purple patch with Fulham maybe over. Holds it up well, but is that enough for us atm...not really. I'm sure we can do better.

Or maybe he'll feign illness and just toss it off at home like Darren Fletcher! :D

Ironically it was the bloke that replaced him.
Zamora went of on 89 minutes and Orlando Sa came on.
The Portuguese striker pissed about on the edge of Odense's box with about 10 seconds left to go and lost the ball.
The Dane's broke, went down the other end, put in a perfect cross and their number 99 put away a very nice header.

"When the ball hits your head
And your sat in row Z
    It's Zamoraaaaaaaaaaaaaa"

To the tune of "That's amore"

And on that basis alone, no thanks. Besides, he's what, had 18 months (if that?) of decent performances for Fulham. His goal record in the league is actually sh*t according to wiki (18 in 82).

Wouldn't even want him as cover.

I think he is a top player and would flourish in our system. A really skillful centre forward, who can score the spectacular. Misses too many to be top notch, but would take him rather than Bent to the Euros.

As good as Kanoute in my opinion.

With the reports of Ibrahimovich now, I'd be seriously disappointed if we ended up with Bobby instead... :p :D
