Our next 2 games are massive for us. Can't really afford to lose either, we need a point in Juventus and I think we should beat City as we're at home and after 4-5 poor games in the league, we're really due a win and a big one at that!

My line up for both matches:

Team for Juventus & Man City:

    --------------------------------------Cech-----------------------------------
    -Azpilicueta---------------Ivanovic-------------Cahill-------------------A.Cole-
    ---------------------------Ramires-------------Mikel--------------------------
    ----------Mata-----------------------Oscar--------------------Hazard--------
    ------------------------------------Sturridge---------------------------------

Subs: Hilario, Luiz, Bertrand, Romeu, Marin, Moses, Torres.

Luiz needs to be dropped! Ivanovic has done well when he's played CB & Azpi is looking great at RB.

Ramires back in for Romeu & our trio back together!

Sturridge must play over Torres, he's just be awful recently and even though Sturridge missed a couple of good chances, at least he had some movement and pace about him, can see him scoring a couple goals in the coming weeks so he should be given the chance!
Torres will be his normal ordinary self in these matches. Chiellini & Kompany would mark him out of the game.

Also Moses & Marin need to be used from the bench. 30 mins to go and we need a goal? Bring them on!

Would go along with this selection apart from Sturridge! Torres should play!

completely agree with the selection. Torres doesn't deserve to start against either after that appaulling performance against WBA.

    <ok>

Yes- he was frigging atrocious; how he has the balls to pick up his paycheck is beyond me. He must be worthy of a place in the "CFC ALL Time Worst Players That We Stupidly Bought" top ten.

I'm surprised Moses hasn't had a chance up front if Torres has really been that poor. There's not much between him and Sturridge and he doesn't seem to have half the attitude.

    I'd go with

Cech - Azpi, Iva, Cahill, Cole - Ramires, Mikel, - Mata, Oscar, Hazard, Moses

That's for both games, we need a new striker, our current 2 aren't good enough IMO. Also need a midfield general who can start our attacks from deep.

But yeah, go with a 4-6-0 cause our strikers aren't up to it. Or just put Moses/Hazard up front.

I go with the selections minus Luiz & Torres both of them have had way too many chances; we have to salvage something from these next 2 games to try and stop the rot. As for the choice up front start with Sturridge, no joy put on Moses.

Remember that Juve are lightning quick on the counter and hold the ball for ages. If we play Brana and Cahill in the centre we will be run ragged.
Brana,Cahill, Luiz and Cole . Youth and experience. Pace and solidity.
Oh and Moses or Oscar up front.

I keep churning the 'striker' option over in my head.

As much as I have a downer on Torres could the fact that Torres tends to tie up more defenders than Sturridge be a reason to start Torres?

At least with more defenders tied up it will give our midfield (and defenders!) a better chance of slipping one or three in.

I agree to a point. If Torres is prepared to run his arse around the defence all night it could create gaps. Not a lot of good if he keeps giving the ball away as cheapilly as he's been doing of late. Personally I think it needs freshening up a little and I'd be tempted to put Moses up front. It's a risk but I just can't see Torres or Sturridge having enough of an impact. Moses looks keen, Torres looks dejected, Sturridge doesn't look at all!!

    We will likely start
    Hart
    Zabaleta Kompany Nastasic Clichy
    Milner Barry
    Tevez yaya silva
    Aguero

Lot will depend on how Mikel & Ramires deal with yaya coming from deep and linking up with silva & Tevez

    How about.......

    Cech

    Azpilicueta - Ivanovic - Cahill - Cole

    Mikel - Ramires

    Hazard - Mata - Oscar

    Luiz

Is it not worth a go, the guy is confident, can finish and has that little spark to his play, it could be a masterstroker

Some of the older statesmen on here may remember Paul Warhurst. A centre back in the early 90's who due to injuries played up front for Sheffield Wednesday and started banging them in for fun. He later moved back into midfield but for a while he was deadly.

Has Hazard got an injury/injury concern?

Not that I know of but I can't see him playing all three and as Mata and Oscar didn't start at WBA I think it will be Hazard sacrificed for a more solid unit.

Really really worried about tonight. Lose and we are as good as out.
