What do we think of this? http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwich-city-fc/team_news_norwich_city_v_hertha_berlin_1_1454530?
Interesting good for them to all get a run out as we will be fielding completely different team in second half. Also a bit surprised morison and fox aren't in the squad according to the Hertha twitter. Have they got little knocks hope its not too serious... Here's the link for the squad aka 1st and 2nd half teams https://twitter.com/HerthaBSC/status/226704910224330753/photo/1
I find that incredibly hard to believe - not. Lot of people saying on a different thread about how Chris Martin will never be anything more than a decent Championship player, I don't believe Elliot Ward is even good enough for that - and Hertha don't have too many Luis Suarez to give him a torrid time, as I recall He'd found his optimum level at Coventry, before we signed him, imho
Yeah but to see people slagging off ward and co on a pre-season friendly that they are following on twitter is a bit wrong Vaughan just scored again, guess that means he's better than Holt.
Every team is only as good as its weakest link(s). In my opinion, when he plays - which he may not do during a competitive fixture, Ward is our weakest link. That is all
Beefy I agree with you, but these games could be deciding factor for Hughton. So you would have thought they are taking it quite seriously. I think from last season Ward was a weak link but he could be lacking in fitness hence why he was outpaced. Anyway good to see Vaughan score a couple friendly or not
Calm down Beefy! We all know Ward has the pace of a reliant robin & the turning circle of a sopworth camel Its a worry when he plays as most fans know he's in trouble when the ball is played past him ! I understand it's a friendly but some things aren't going to change !
Yeah, and last season didn't turn out bad, completely agree But I think it's more individual performances that are analysed in friendlies rather than team and scoreline.
Given that this was principally about building up fitness and getting attuned to CH's expectations, it sounds a pretty successful exercise to me. Score line suggests a proper match, not a stroll in the park.
Yes, I was quite surprised to learn that Ward had been offererd a new contract - just hope he does't feature in the starting 11 too often.
So, thinking about this, what should we conclude? Er, well, maybe that the management team have a higher opinion of Ward than some fans do? Surely not!
