Mr. Marsupial you know those stats we always get at the end of a game, where they say `Shots`- and then `On Target`- well it´s the ´on target´ bit that I´m interested in, I just put in headers as well, to make sure there was no misunderstanding , which apparently there was , hope this makes it slightly more clear.
Actually I have a question for you, wouldn´t hitting the bar, or post for that matter, be regarded as having a ´shot on target´, in stats terms?
Don't think so, think it is still a miss. I thought a shot on target would always go in if there was no 'keeper/defenders (Although it is possible to score off the post!). Well, FIFA 12 considers it a shot off target anyway, but you are in charge of the competition so it's up to you to decide, either way with home advantage I'll stick by my decision!
I stand by the BBC match reports for all that sort of thing, Marsupial, but would be interesting to know, from a stats connoisseur, what the situation is about hitting the woodwork.
