  1. Anyone agree with this?

    -----------Ranger------Lover-----------

    Ferguson---Nolan--------Barton-----Jonas

    Enrique-----Colo---------Taylor-----Simmo

    ------------------Krul-------------------

I personally think Shola is complete **** and his lack of effort deserves him to be kicked out of the club. I like Lover, but i think we should just try and play the 5 man midfield and give Ranger another chance upfront starting.

I also think Ferguson deserves more games now we're safe.

    Anyone else agree?

I know it may seem negative but i don't see us getting owt from this match so we might aswell try our best to play patient football and also give a couple of young prospects a chance.

Ranger has scored a goal at Stamford Bridge before, maybe he'll take confidence from that?

EDIT - Just remembered we're going to drop Tiote!!

It's come to the stage where I check the tags in your thread before I read what you've posted.

I dont think we should play Tiote for the rest of the season, as he will get a 3 game ban when he next gets booked, and I'd put money on him getting booked against Chelsea. So I'd go for...

    Krul
    Simmo Taylor Colo Enrique
    Jonas Barton Nolan Fergie
    Ranger Lovens

    But Ameobi will start, so...<doh>

I agree with the 451, considering the formation Chelsea are likely to play

  7. Why play Raylor when he's an extremely mediocre player not likely to get better, and Ferguson is a very promosing youngster that should be getting game time?

he's a decent player who can whip in a good cross.
Ferguson is a promising youngster, but Chelsea's a big game, and i wouldnt feel comfortable throwing him in at the deep end when he's only had limited 1st team minutes. I'd sub him on though

  12. How is Chelsea a big game? And do you really expect us to win?

West Brom is the game we should be looking to win, Chelsea should just be a opportunity for Ranger and Ferguson. We're safe and that was the main target.

Yep West Brom is the game that is truly going to have an effect on where we finish whether it be 8th, 14th or somewhere in between.

Because the game against Chelsea is a game against some of the best players in Europe. That's a big game and it would be throwing youngsters in the deep end.

Whether we will win or not is irrelevant.

    Krul
    Simpson Saylor Colo Enrique
Guti Barton Raylor(has played there before) Ferguson
    Nolan
Lovenkrands(bring on Ameobi/Ranger in the second half if things aren't working).

I think we'll get destroyed with a 4-4-2, especially with Barton picking up all Nolan's ****(defensive work, etc.) & with no Tiote to give us some solidity I'll rather we played a 4-4-1-1 with Nolan in his ''natural'' position. He may not be athletic, skillful or fast but he's got a good footballing brain, reads the game well, gets into the right postions at the right time & has great finishing ability. Surely he's better than our current crop of strikers?

  16. You're extremely harsh on Nolan.

He works his arse off to attack and to defend. His little challenges to win back possession and his aggression play a big role in our defense.

He's also dynamite around the oppositions penalty area, not just with his goal scoring capabilities, but his vision and creative little passes to create chances for others.

Nolan is a technical player, and you don't need to be able to dribble well to be one.
