Jumping the gun a bit with this one but I'll be back in the UK for this one. Anyone know how to get the free tickets - I can't be bothered to pay if no other bugger does
People will accost you in the street and force wads of them into your pockets according to stories I've heard Ken. The gutters of SE7 are littered with cut up season tickets... Get to the Valley 15 minutes early and you can air-guitar along to "Addicks to Victory"
Once the match thread starts on CL, keep checking it and then put out you're in Spain and need a ticket. I had no ticket going up to Sheffield and ended up with two freebies
Bought a ticket, and also a 1st team shirt which cost a lot less than getting into the ground. Theres a sale in the club shop. Who wouldn't want a souvenir from this season
Actually an interesting first half - didn't think we were in too much trouble until Gilbey went on a shirt tugging spree. Lincoln look tidy at tge back - hard to see where an equaliser will come from.
We shouldn't have lost that, but Washington and Stockley missed a hatfull of chances, and Gilbey left his brain at home. He deservedly got booed off. Fraser concerns me, seems to prefer walking to running, witH the occasional jog. On the positive side, JF-C looked like he'd never been away and Dobson was excellent as usual. CB-T struggled against a very good RB though.
Looks like we've found our level. Around 14/15/16th in the 3rd Division. There are youngsters about to go to University now; people nearly 20 years old, who don't remember anything but decline and failure at CAFC. I know I'm feeling down right now, but I'm not sure we're getting out of this league before the end of the decade. A summer shake-up on the scale of 2011 just isn't going to happen. We'll ship out 6 or 7, get 3 or 4 in plus a couple of kids - and be right back here this time next season. Granted it's still better than being expelled from the league. But how many fans will come back next season? We had a lot fewer than 10,000 there today.
Atrocious finishing aside, we played some nice football today. Could have put that to bed in tge first half, but there were positives. Washington, Clare, Dobson and CBT all played well, and we created enough chances to win. Lincoln's finishing gave them the points deservedly, but it was an exciting match considering we had nothing to play for. We're finishing lower half for a reason, but on a day when the result wasn't the overarching important thing, it was exciting if frustrating.
On CL it's being suggested that Fraser still isn't quite over Covid. That would explain his lack of energy. We'll see.
