There once was a fella, half deaf Who dreamed of becoming a chef, But music became His pathway to fame His pseudonym was ´rbf´ And every year around this time It´s his job to find the best rhyme, From many sent in Here, hoping to win The accolade `Rhyme That Was Prime´ And this year it´s been a tough task To choose the three that soon will bask, In match day glory Entirely for free For more than that, I couldn´t ask In third place this one made me smile From ´over there´ from wi-exile, Maybe far away But with them each day In heart and spirit, every mile In second came the man from Kent A Wolfswinkel fan is this gent, Or so I would own And he´s not alone Ricky I´m sure is heaven-sent But this year on top of the tree It had to be robbieBB, Who with guile and wit Made everything fit One with which most can all agree. Here are the three, in all their glory, and well done to the chosen. 1. robbieBB There´s a lot to be said for stability Showing strength instead of fragility, Keep faith in your man Adhere to your plan While others display vunerability. 2. Kent canary There is a man called van Wolfswinkel Whose eyes have a lupine van Wolfstwinkle, His movement is fine And if we give him time He´ll score more than a meagre van Wolfssprinkle. 3. wi-exile I have a good friend who just bellows He shouts all his good-byes and hello´s, His voice is so loud But he is obviously proud When he lets out with ´Come on you Yellows`. I´m just sorry I have to cut it down to three every year, as there were several more that would have graced the match day programme, so many, many thanks to you all for contributing. Yours, rbf
It is, can I say, rather pleasing To succeed in a Challenge so teasing Well done! to the lot Who gave it a shot And RBF for his effort unceasing.
In this game with the written word I was happy to have been placed third Just trying to bring cheer At this time of the year To fans of the yellow feathered bird.
