French side Lille have revealed they are preparing to hold talks with Arsenal about a transfer deal for Ivory Coast striker Gervinho, the BBC reports. The 24-year-old has been linked with a move to the Emirates for some time. His 15 goals en-route to a French league and Cup double last season have increased demand for his services. The Gunners appear to be in pole position to sign Gervinho, and Lille have indicated they are ready to do business. Speaking on French radio station RMC, their general manager Frederic Paquet said: "He wants to go and has developed contacts with Arsenal. "He has expressed a desire to go to England. We will soon have talks with them and see what they offer." Ligue 1 rivals Paris St Germain have also shown interest in signing the player, but Paquet wants to ship him overseas rather then providing the opportunity to "strengthen a competitor" by selling to a domestic rival. But Paquet was more defiant over the future of 20-year-old Belgian winger Eden Hazard. The star youngster is wanted by a host of top European clubs, including Arsenal, but has been described by Paquet as being "untransferable".
