I know it´s all pretty obvious stuff, but I think he´s said more in this one article than Calderwood or Trollope said in two years.

    http://www.canaries.co.uk/news/article/20140723-mark-robson-five-1778134.aspx

and thinking back over the years, a manager to man manage, and a coach or coaches to coach, is always likely to be more successful than a manager who tries the lot. Stringer/Williams, Walker/Deehan, and Lambert/Culverhouse all spring to mind as successful combinations. Hope we´ve assembled a winning one this time.

I would possibly challenge him when he says "Every one of our lads came back in great shape" because from what I've seen Hooper looks as though he's carrying a fair bit of timber at the moment (much like Holty did for the first month or so of the season), though that doesn't overly concern me.

Agree with RBF though that he does talk sense and seems like a good guy to have involved.

Have to say, there are lots of of positives in this. TMC - I think it was supers who osaid GH was 'carrying a bit of timber', but just means he'll be harder to knock off the ball!!!! <laugh>

I also like what Robson is aiming for and I think he and Holt have a lot to offer. I think we're seeing now what McNally and the Board could see when they appointed Adams.

Hooper always has been chunky. He doesn't look much different to me.

´Fraid I wasn´t acquainted with the lady, Cromer, so I looked her up on Wiki, and er.................Yes - I do see the attraction, but just whether she could come up with the right tactics to beat Wolves, is another matter altogether - double-handed backhand might come in useful I suppose. ;)

Oi, that's quite enough innuendo before the lunchtime watershed, thank you <laugh>

Your innuendos are down to your own vivid imagination, Cromer. Fancy RBF not knowing Laura, though. Too long in Denmark I suppose! <whistle>

Please - don't say I'm the only person to "misinterpret" RBFs comment? :emoticon-0112-wonde

(I actually prefer the Canadian Wimbledon finalist Genie Bouchard - let's hope Laura doesn't read this thread <ok>)

Certainly that Rick, but also the fact that tennis has never been my sport I´m afraid, and not even Caroline Wots-ianaki ( almost Mrs Rory McIlroy) has been able to fire up my interest. :)

I know what you mean, he'll be in better shape towards the end of the summer, it's probably water weight from all the ****e they eat and drink during the summer break.

Even though this whole tour has been an absolute farce, training at a higher altitudes in summer weather will be beneficial for conditioning, when I was out in Canada I went for a couple of run's covering a distance that I'd easily do on autopilot back here in the UK but over there it was a struggle.

Robson has added this in the Pink'un today:

“I think first and foremost as players you want to enjoy what you do. I would hate to come into training as a player and there is no real reason or method to it. Everything we do has a tempo to it because the main aim for us is to re-produce how we want to play into those sessions so the players understand and it becomes almost second nature. There are no grey areas. I hope the players are enjoying it, certainly the staff are.”

The proof of this will be when the season starts, but I like the emphasis on "everything has a tempo", as that is so important to gaining the consistency City will need.
