I just came across this very funny article by Maurice Hamilton on grandprix.com. I thought it was worth sharing with you lot to brighten up a stuffy Wednesday afternoon. And don't forget: Bernie - "he does what he can"! http://www.grandprix.com/columns/maurice-hamilton/race-abuse.html?utm_medium=twitter&utm_source=grandprixdotcom
Yes, it's a very amusing little piece. Unfortunately there is too much truth in his mocking of various characters and organisations…
Isn't that the essence of satire? Incidentally, I think I've hit a raw nerve at the BBC. 4 times they removed my post which, in perfectly reasonable language, questioned whether Ben Gallop is doing his job properly and whether his previous employment at BSkyB may or may not have had any bearing on the new deal between his present and former employers. Apparently, these post were "Racist, sexist, likely to offend.." Either Mr. Gallop is hypersensitive to criticism or I've asked an awkward question. Needless to say, the extremely competent Mr. Gallop is still AWOL.
Brilliant piece. I got about 6 lines in before i spat my coffee all over myself because i was laughing.
Glad you liked it, Cowboy. I think it's interesting that Maurice sees them all up in front of a Select Committee! Let's hope they are soon.
