So, what would it be like..........? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/tables Assuming Luton go up we COULD be travelling afar to: Gateshead Grimsby Halifax Lincoln And travelling 'down the road' to; Hereford Wrexham Salisbury Forest Green ............and possibly travelling again to Torquay. And some old favourites in Barnet and Aldershot. If Bath City and /or Weston-Super-Mare have good second halves to their seasons they could come up from Conference South! Leading Conference North at the moment are the mighty....NORTH FERRIBY UNITED! At the weekend 625 watched Gateshead and 740 watched Salisbury, though both Chester and Lincoln got just over 2,000!!! Just as well it ain't gonna happen!
WHERE ARE THEY NOW....................? I looked at the clubs relegated into the Conference over the last 10 years. Ask yourself what's happened to them since................. 2003/4: Carlisle and York City 2004/5: Kidderminster and Cambridge United 2005/6: Oxford United and Rushden and Diamonds 2006/7: Boston United and Torquay 2007/8: Mansfield and Wrexham 2008/9: Chester and Luton 2009/10:Grimsby and Darlington 2010/11:Lincoln and Stockport 2011/12:Hereford and Macclesfield 2012/13:Barnet and Aldershot So last year's relegated teams are currently 10th and 19th in the Conference Of the remaining 18 only Carlisle, York, Oxford, Mansfield and Torquay made it back. Only Carlisle have made it into L1 (18th) and as for Darlington, Rushden, Stockport, Boston......................... We just can't afford to go down!
FGR are just up the road from me - I could offer to put our away support up in the East Wing of Bluebaldee Towers
