There is life after 11pm tonight. Honestly? Ha Ha

My thoughts have already turned to the next 14 games and what this will bring for the club. Top 6? Top 7?

Liverpool have to be considered slight favourites for the 6th spot or even better now after their investments today but there is no guarantee of this. Whatever happens, if Arsenal win win the Carling Cup and say Man Utd, Arsenal, Spurs or Chelsea contest the FA Cup final (presuming that they all finish in the top 4) , then as I understand the European places could go down to 7th place? Is that correct?

If that was so, we could still have a slip and go into Europe in 7th. What would this mean?

Personally, I'd like to see the summer transfer revolve around the permanent deals for Nedum (maybe a bid of £8m would get him) and Danny. I still think SAF would be tempted but after his recent comments, I think it would take a bid of around £10m - £12m to wet his appetite and Sir Alex will need funds to buy himself in the summer.

Add a permanent deal for Mensah and Muntari and that would do for me. I'm still not sure about Muhammady but another 12 month loan deal wouldn't be a bad deal overall. We don't necessarily have to scour the planet for players when what we need is right in front of us already. Welbeck is a perfect age, played well with Gyan previously this term and is a good team player.

So, forget silly money January and concentrate on sensible August IMO.

Giving us 65 points = 2 points per game so far we have averaged 1.54.

Liverpool would need 33 points from 14 games = 2.35 points per game they have managed 1.33 so far this season.

Liverpool have a slighty better goals for average however we average only 1 goal per game against to their 1.29.

Put simply I don't think the loss of Bent will have a massive impact with the addition of Sess & Sully & it's ours to loose... a win tomorrow would set us on our way!

Three draws in the last fourteen games. I wish I shared that optimism!

    Nice signature by the way.

    LOL Cheers<ok>

    Your's isn't too shabby either!

I'm rubbish at predictions BUT we have nothing to fear in this league. Time to think positive and if we fall short of 6th so what I'd have been over the moon with 10th upwards at the start of the season
