It's true what they say, the Jails are full of innocent men.

I've never heard so many sob stories in ma puff, all these poor murderers on Death Row, my heart bleeds.

Didn't watch it but if you arrested any of them I'd bet good money they were innocent.

Aye, especially the ones in the 70s and 80s when Police corruption was widespread. Remind me, when were you a copper?

Coppers from the 70s and 80s are as old as Methusalah? That makes no sense.

Hard to say without hearing all the evidence. Wouldn’t you agree?

There have undoubtedly been innocent people executed but I'd hazard a guess than more of those who are actually guilty have been fried.

I'm against the death penalty but in cases where the culprit admits to what he/she did and doesn't want to spend the rest of their life in prison maybe it should be offered as a solution. There is the Ian Brady situation where he'd longed to die but was kept alive, maybe it would have been easier all round to let him have his wish.

Anyone remember the 14 Days In May? It was a documentary about a guy on death row and they found someone else who pretty much confessed to the crime but it didn't do any good and the one on death row was executed. This was years before the Louis Theroux type films of today.

Confessions can never be coerced. Certainly not in the 70’s
