Listening to Talksport this morning Keys & Gray were going on about their team of the season so far and Gray picked his up against Keys's team of top players in the stats. The two were totally different and the stats team were not one you or I would have picked. Which says it all about stats. Gray's team: Krul; Walker, Kompany, S.Taylor, Evra; Walcott, Toure, Parker, Bale; Silva; Van Persie. The stat's team: DeGea; Ivanovic, Koscielny, Skrtel, Warnock; Silva, Gower, Larsson, Nasri; Ba, Hernandez. As a post-script the player bottom of the stats for left-sided midfielders was Taarabt...
I'm glad he's not. I want him to keep doing what he's doing (but only better), whilst staying completely off the radar...
I know, but it's what he was classified under. Just like Silva is not a right-sided midfielder... It's a good job statistics are not the be all and end all of judging players...
Is there a stat that shows us where Keys and Gray come on the list of Biggest Numpties presenting/commentating/analyzing football? I am sure they are near the top. Do they come ahead of Claridge and Crooks or just below them?
Think Gray's team is pretty much spot on, only question markes are Evra and Walcott. Keys' though are so wide off the mark it beggars belief!
Unlike your pic of 'Arold, can't explain that one away on the basis of recent repeats Eamon... puts you right there in the stalls (with the rest of us) back in the day! What a carry on eh?
I read somewhere, could've been fourfourtwo or maybe in a match programme, that the great 70s comic actor Robin "Car Care" Askwith is QPR
