He picked up two yellows and was sent off against the Hamers yesterdays, so will now miss the game against us.

    Handy. <ok>

Brilliant news as he always seems to score against us! Is Greg Halford still at pompey? Another who always scores!

Never realised how many decent players Pompey had left after their financial breakdown when they got relegated with us.

With Lawrence banned however they only have three senior midfielders left: Mullins, Norris and Williams.

First time on here for a while and had to reset my user name!!
I live in Portsmouth and although I have supported City all my life, I have been down to Fratton Park a few times recently with a friend. Lawrence missing the game won't make much difference to be honest, he has been a shadow of his former form and was slated by the crowd 2 weeks ago for his poor performance and, more importantly, effort...!
Halford looks good, but Pompey's biggest problem is up front. Kitson is a donkey, Benjani was way off being fit a fortnight ago and looked very out of touch so they are once again relying on Kanu (as they sing, his real age is 62, he's older than me and you!!). They have brought Varney in, but he doesn't look brilliant (despite scoring yesterday!) so I can see our tight and stingy defence handling them despite the fact that Pompey are travelling well and were unlucky yesterday.

He is indeed .He got the West Ham centre forward , don't know how spell his name and can't be arsed to look it up , sent off yesterday .

Halford went down like he been administered a right hander by
Sonny Liston. All he did was brush by him and he hit the deck like a sack of King Eddies .
What a ****ing fairy and a disgrace to boot .

I hope Hobbs gives him a straightener in the first five minutes , out of view of the ref and his assistants of course .

I remember when Lawrence played for Mansfailed, hoping and praying we would put a bid in for him. A very fine player who was good enough for the Premier League.

Indeed useful that he will be missing, but it will be a very hard game against Pompey, they are another of our bogey teams (last season away excepted!)

I only saw 2mins of highlights but I didn't recognise Lawrence, looks older than Petrov or arjen Robben these days, don't think this old man would do us too much damage!

Hi Guys, Pompey Fan in Peace !! <ok>

I hate to tell you- but we have a few more midfielders left than that !!

Ward, Huseklepp and Futacs to name a Few. Going back to the original subject- yes; Lawrences' absence for us already puts us in a bad position. Good to see you high up in the table at the start of the season- making the relegation party of 09-10' Proud :emoticon-0110-tongu

Looking forward to our game on Saturday- I predict a narrow Hull win- but I am hoping for a 2-1 win for Pompey !!

City haven't beaten Pompey at home since 1980. Pompey are usually physically big and tough, this is a game where Hobbs and McKenna will have to stamp their authority.

    Stamp on that cheating twat
    Halfords throat more like .

We'll have to watch for his histrionics on Saturday or we'll be down to seven men before half time .

Fair enough, I was just going by your OWS, saw no mention of any other midfielders.

    As for a prediction, I reckon a 1-1 draw.

Cant stand the guy Lawrence. One of the reasons he left Sunderland was because of his public spit roasting episode also involving ex city player Chris Brown

Whatever anyone says, Lawrence has always played well against us, either it be for Stoke or Pompey, its a plus that he's suspended! Can see it being our 3 game winning streak!

Let me just remind everyone of what happened when we were all thinking how great it was the TWS were missing two star performers! We were so confident of a win and got stuffed.

Pompey are an experienced and talented side, our kids will have to play really well to keep the score even. I'm going for a 0-0.
