    It was the same with Michael Portillo. Everyone knew he was as gay as the day is long but they couldn't say it. The media have along history of libel cases involving naming gay people so they tend to leave well along.

    I think it was the Mirror who were successfully sued by Liberace when they suggested he might be a homosexual!
