Released on a free by Barnsley today. He is only 25 and although he was not a success there he has a decent goalscoring record elsewhere. He is also a big guy and doesnt get pushed around.
    Worth a look ?

Other than Stockport I don't remember his name being a success elsewhere?

Thats said, a year ago I suggested him as a player we should sign. Just hope we above that level now.

He was signed from Brighton last summer.Previously he was at Derby and on loan at Huddersfield where he scored 6 goals in 13 games.
He then went on loan to Blackpool and scored 4 goals in 7 games. I imagine he would score goals in our League.

I read the news of his release on telly text today and I too thought he could be worth a punt.

Since 2009, his record stands at: 65 games, 7 goals. This includes 0 in 18 at league one level last season. (I have checked Wiki for this, not going to lie- not the most reliable of sites to gather stats).

Not a bad option, and would be worth exploring. I just have my heart set on Hayes and BWP as our starting two though.

A few years ago many of us had our hearts set on a front two of Varney and Gray, look how that turned out.

To be honest, we are lacking a target-man, and I've openly voiced my concerns about this in the past. But now I'm not so sure that we NEED a target man, and I'm starting to think that the reason Powell shipped off Sodje and Abbott was because he doesn't want a target man, he wants the ball on the floor not in the air. Brighton destroyed this league last season playing it along the floor, let's hope we can do the same this coming year.

Don't see any real relevance, seeming BWP already is somewhat a success.
