Steve Bruce says he is out for three weeks. Andy Dawson and Alex Bruce touch and go for next week

These injuries are ridiculous, we have to sort this out when the season gets going. Whats the point in signing all these players to add depth if half the players are going to be injured at any one time?

maybe they should be working harder or is this adding to your little theory of "training injuries" due to Bruces methods (who does not deal with training fitness wise) or maybe it should be "training harder than used to due to easy ride by previous fitness coach who was laid off" ?

I don't have any theories - but I do think that one you mentioned makes a lot of sense. It was suggested as soon as Bruce came that injuries might be a problem, and exactly that has happened. Everyone gets long-term knee injuries and stuff that you can't avoid, but all these little niggles, pulls and strains in pre-season of all times which never usually happens, after two almost niggle free years seems an incredible coincidence. You can't help but think whoever suggested the theory might have a point.

Unless of course, you've got a mad vendetta against the previous manager and his entire backroom team...

No , I just think the last couple of years especially since Brownie left (whom I was not a great fan of Ill admit) we have not looked as fit at all , its like the training and methods over this couple of years have been nowhere near as intense as they should have been to get people being fit for an entire season, these injuries now are a result of that IMO where people have had a couple of years of "not so much emphasis on fitness" when in todays game its paramount ..

kick up the backside that's needed , I am however encouraged by Coopers tweet as he is genuinely seeming like he is raring to get back asap to help the cause ... but then again a positive spin is never allowed when training injuries are concerned are they ;)
