Smithies, Luongo and a broken central midfield - knee jerks

Antti Heinola witnessed QPR’s attempt at the world record for most consecutive home games conceding exactly two goals continue apace against Blackburn on Tuesday.

    Tozser/Henry
Copy and paste from Saturday if you like. I see West London Sport has, incredibly, given them both half decent write ups and awarded them 7/10. Bizarre state of affairs.

I'll go in to formation a bit in a moment, but for now, the issue with these two is that they are simply not mobile enough, or quick enough, to cover those positions effectively. Worse, their passing last night was dreadful. Karl Henry's passing is never better than average, and usually it's predominantly going backwards, but while Daniel Tozser was at least looking for forward passes, time and again he found the shins or boot of a Blackburn player. Henry did well to get forward for the chance that should've brought a penalty, but that closing of the gap between defensive midfielders and attackers was all too rare in the first half. Flabbergasted that neither was replaced by either Faurlin or Doughty. Sadly, I suspect they'll both start again on Saturday, likely with similar results.

Here's an amusing story for you Swords. An unfortunate name for a home town.

Bastard and South Burgess, Ont., woman charged with stealing truck of ice cream
CBC News Posted: Sep 17, 2015 2:52 PM ET

Police think they’ve got her cold.

A woman has been arrested and charged after police chased a stolen truck carrying ice cream for five kilometres Thursday around Perth.

The 5-tonne refrigerated delivery truck was stolen while parked at a gas station around 9:30 a.m., said OPP provincial Const. David Bird of the Lanark County detachment.

The driver, who was making a delivery at the time, called 911 after seeing his truck stolen.

Officers found the vehicle travelling on Wilson Street West in Perth, and they chased it before eventually it stopped at a quarry east of Perth on Highway 7.

Samantha Whitteker, 24, of Bastard - South Burgess Township is charged with theft of motor vehicle, flight while pursued by police, possession of property obtained by crime, over $5,000, and failing to comply with conditions of undertaking.

A woman from Bastard and South Burgess Township was charged after Ontario Provincial Police say she fled in a stolen truck full of ice cream.

Police say the woman, 24, stole the refrigerated delivery truck from a Shell gas station in Perth, Ont., about 80 kilometres southwest of Ottawa, as the driver made deliveries on Thursday morning.

After searching the area, police officers found the truck heading down Wilson Street West in Perth and it finally stopped at a quarry on Highway 7, east of Perth.

Police then charged the woman with theft of a motor vehicle, fleeing police, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and failing to comply with conditions of an undertaking.

The woman was also scheduled to appear for a bail hearing on Thursday.

Bastard and South Burgess Township is located south of Perth.
