'After half an hour, a QPR move into the United half – soiled with unicorn faeces – drew David De Gea from his goal for reasons known only to the Spaniard and created panic in a distinctly average United defence' - sheer poetry from Clive. thanks Grifter
Faced with wide open legs and come-to-bed eyes, United lubed up and set about the task with lusty gusto.
Classic! Excellent piece as usual from Clive and in tune with the vast majority on here. Sunday's no show was wholly unacceptable.
Some pretty damming stats on Redknapps career- League games against United: “Harry Redknapp has lost all 15 of his matches here as a manager with West Ham, Portsmouth and now QPR, scoring just eight goals and conceding 46” And, “Rangers have played 15 away games since Boxing Day and of those they’ve lost nine and failed to score a goal in 11”. Not good enough and clear sign that there are massive errors in his approach to away games and basicaly an indication that he's not a very good manager
I won't attend away games anymore while Redknapp is in charge for the reasons mentioned above. Before anyone starts on about the 'you should be supporting the team' fallacy, this is a two-way street as far as I'm concerned. The players and management should start showing the effort and commitment as what our travelling fans do. Who wants to be spending that amount of time and money travelling to watch what is effectively footballing crimes. Come to think of it, it's a struggle to drag myself to home games as the quality of football is so bloody dire.
"As at Spurs, it’s the manner of this defeat, and the way it was accepted by the players, that concerns more than the loss itself, which was completely expected." Pretty much sums it up for me.
An excellent report, but a quote from one of the respondents best sums it up for me........... For me Redknapp is a charlatan, I just cannot believe the myth of him being a top manager and great motivator still exists.
Apologies if this has been on before, but an interesting contribution from Mr Lineker, and probably about right too... @Garylineker ManUtd will face better opposition than QPR.... like the Dog and Duck
Thanks for posting this, Grifter. It's an excellent report and hard to disagree with any of it. If only our players would read some of the quotes shown above and react to them with a bit of determination.
at the risk of mmaking youlook like f**ing idiotd..what happened on 30th Nov 2010... http://www.11v11.com/teams/manchester-united/tab/opposingTeams/opposition/West Ham United f**ing disgrace some of you..! EDIT- give clive his **** pot trorophy as a nerd and we may get a non biased opinion from him..yes i wil tel him next time we speak,,he's beg a prick for reasons you dont need to know ! Stats prove that ?
Having established that West Ham didn't play Manchester United on 30 November 2010, could you tell us what did happen? Think it may be a rogue link Queens.
This has me worringly intrigued. More so than anything on the pub quiz thread. Was it the 30/12/12 when Redknapp came in. We got dicked in the first half against Suarez so we played the rest of the game 1-10-0-0?
