I think wigans win at anfield really put our win in perspective. It pretty much hit me at half time that it wasn't such a big achievement after all. We snuck past a **** side at home yet the cellar dwellers put them to the sword away. We're just not playing good enough football to survive. When was the last time we dominated the first 20 mins of a match? Doesn't that say a lot about our attitude going into a game?

Spot on really. The difference is the cellar dwellers stuck with their manager. Blackburn and Bolton stuck with theirs. Ourselves and Wolves didn't. I'll carry on hoping but in all honesty, if I were looking in from the outside I'd say Wolves and us were down.

We played some fantastic stuff in the first 20 minutes against Newcastle (H), City and Villa (H). Fast, fearless possession football with our midfield not playing pass the hand grenade.

And Chelsea too. We didn't dominate but neither did they for all the money they'd spent.Their lack of discipline detracted attention from the fact they were matched and bettered prior to the sendings off.

But to be fair I live in an alternate reality.

Fair play to Wigan, they play a good passing game and if they had a decent striker would be mid-table. I agree Wolves and ourselves are really looking grim at the moment...
