http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/footba...y_holt_and_norwich_demons_–_full_match_report Have a read DT, Clive's another who needs to get a book on football!
I like Mr Whittingham's reports a lot but I think both he and Warnock were harsh on the overall performance. There were patches of sloppy defending (Gabbidon is probably just below PL standard IMO) but Norwich really rode their luck and the winner was just one of those things. 99 times out of a 100 the ball would have been safely away but somehow it always ended up at the feet of another Norwich player. As we have seen before, once 4-4-2 was established around Bothroyd we look very threatening indeed. Not sure when NW will realize this is our best formation both home and away.
i'd say it was fairly accurate. no way we rode our luck though! how many chances did qpr create? it was a poor match overall but i never felt like we'd lose, not at any point. baring in mind how many changes we had made i was quite worried before kick off but in the end i thought we deserved the three points. we could easily have been two nil up at half time and qpr barely created a clear cut chance all game - ruddy hardly had any saves to make and qpr only really had a 15 minute spell in the 2nd half where they played a bit better, once bothroyd came on. but as soon as city brought holt and hoolahan on, the game opened up and there was only going to be one winner. i think you missed barton to be honest.
A draw would have been fair. Norwich were by far the better team for the first 35 mins and I felt we were better from then on. These things happen and I'd honestly expect us to turn them over in the return game.
