So after tonights convincing victory over total **** up against Sevilla we go back to PL action by playing a Russian ollgarchs plaything

Matip is possibly back for this one from the noises emanating from the club however they can be a bit "economical with the actualite" so may only know for sure on Saturday .Mind you considering our defensive strength we needn’t worry , anyway it’s not as if their CF is good in the air .

I think an obvious tactic for us is to attempt to get Mane & Salah into the space behind the Chelsea wing backs to pull the CB’s out to the wide & then use the space provided effectively. Just need to hope the Anfield influene will bring back a modicum of calm to the team.

I agree on the 343 formation being wide open to mane and salah BTW.

Our home form is radically different to our away form.

if fabregas plays this one i think we will win.

should be a good game.

IMO if we can even take a draw out of this game i would be quite happy though..... we have got back to about a 7/12 points total so can afford a draw here if we can pick up wins in the following league games.

none "easy" par se but any side chasing top 4 must win all 3. If we took 10/12 points in these 3 games we would be right up there.

 

i'd prefer nearly any ref over oliver. he's a ****ing coward. he also doesn't get on with Henderson. just watch that one.

knowing us we'd win it then lose to brighton.

3 points is 3 points but on some occasions the draw is better than nothing.

If we could take 10 out of 12 points in next 4 games i think we are right in the mix.... i'd be delighted personally. not doubt Zanjinho will demand no less than 11 points out of 12

 

Michael Oliver terrible ref.

Personally think Oliver will help you boys out more than us (unless we target fouling Salah and Mane). I think Henderson, Lovren and especially Can and Milner (if he plays) are a little bit more dirty in terms of late challenges/cynical challenges than our lot and we know Oliver doesn't like dolling out cards early. This is especially true if we do what we normally do which is hit on the counter and play balls up to morata/hazard to hold it up/dribble with.

You'll also have the advantage on us as we're travelling back from azerbaijan at like 2/3am in the morning (furthest ****ing place in europe) and coming back a day later as well as this being an away fixture.

Just hoping Salah has his standard no shooting boots on but fully expect him to roast Alonso and Cahill as they both hate tricky pacey players. The one upside is Christensen has been solid and is a good reader of the game and you guys have the Moreno/Klaven/Lovren axis so should give us some opportunity

 

Don't bet on Moreno playing, Bob

 

haha i know Klopp subbed him off, but i've seen nothing that indicates Klopp won't select him. Your boss baffles me too sometimes!

 

This is a must win game. Scary when last we won four games in a row ? We need to win this to keep in touch with those above us.
