Saw this in the comments of that Tweet...
I was there
Hope it all goes well and the club takes into account the local residents concerns, if there are any.
That picture looks a lot older than it is - black and white
Can't imagine as many concerns as they had with the main stand
Does anyone know the proposed stadium capacity after the new stand?
So glad we didnt move to Stanley park. Just look at the emirates and west ham.
So much history at Anfield deffo the right move to revamp instead of moving imho
Increase the stand by 7,000 and raise overall capacity to 61,000.
I don't personally know any of our fans who wanted to leave Anfield. Most definitely the best decision to stay. We've got one of the most well known and iconic stadiums.
Are there olans to increase after that?
70k sounds better
60,000 - 62,000 ish, depends on what they go for. 6000 extra seats minimum, but they could push for more to go above Tottenham.
Personally I couldn't care less about beating their capacity and I am sure the owners are the same, just go for the best financial cost for the best outcome.
like most old grounds Anfield is pretty hemmed in so difficult to expand much further .
