This is a thread to discuss our players at the world cup. I am starting this now as the squads are being announced. Yesterday 5 LFC players were named in the England Squad, plus 1 among the backups. Today the Uruaguay squad was anounced with surprisingly 2 LFC players included. So far that is 7 players in total at the world cup, with more surely yet to be announced. WTF. How did that happen? I don't think we have anything to worry about when playing Uruguay if the state of their defense is so bad it justifies calling up a useless lame duck.

In fairness we've hardly given Coates a chance. At 6'5'' he should be just what we need in defence I'd like to see what he can really do but is that likely, I don't know. I'm also all for more S Americans to keep Suarez happy.
Moses is in the Nieria squad. But is no longer one of us. Who else can we expect to see? Reina, Mignolet, Sakho, Toure. Maybe Borini, Jones.
