Leyton Orient have signed former Hartlepool midfielder Leon McSweeney on a free transfer. The 27-year-old Irish player was released by Pools at the end of the season. He has now passed a medical at Brisbane Road and signed a two-year contract. Orient boss Russell Slade: "We're delighted to sign Leon, he's a really versatile player. "I always identify players who can play in a number of positions and Leon can certainly do that. "He's a naturally fit athlete and we're really looking forward to working with him." The O's have already signed Swindon defender Scott Cuthbert.
