morning gills fans i was wondering how montrose is doing has he been getting regular first team action.last season he was one of our better players for the first half of the season then he got injured and when he came back from that he couldnt get back in our side.
He's looked good thus far, granted I've only seen him at home games but he hasn't looked out of place. Nice and strong and a lot taller than I had first imagined. Does have the tendency to let the game pass him by on occasions though, and the way our midfield is chipping in at the moment and with Whelpdale coming back to fitness soon he may have to fight for his place a little bit.
I've only seen him at Barnet and he looked very decent, tries to find a difficult pass, gets his foot in and isn't muscled off the ball easily, I'm impressed with him.
still learning and can fade in and out of games, sometimes his touch lets him down as well. however has a good shot on him, powers forward and is good in the tackle. from our point of view thanks for letting him go!!
Not too boast but I have been able to go to all but one of this year's games! Monty really adds that bit of bite in the midfield that the others can't add (mainly because he is about 6'3 and bulit as anything!)
