He is a quality player. Has all the skills to succeed in the Premiership and especially for us. Is he being linked with us? I thought Man U were in for him?

I think it's more out of necessity... we need to buy someone. Hopefully it will be resolved soon. Btw is anyone else slightly impressed with the way we have at least reacted to the possible departure of players this season, unlike in previous seasons? Perhaps Wenger and the board realise that they can't always leave transfers to the last minute anymore. Imagine if Robin van Pursie had left last seasona la Nasri and Fabregas, leaving us with no time to find a replacement.. What kind of a hole would we be in then? Doesn't bear thinking about...

At last they've woken up to this issue. Though, i wouldn't want to be them should we have a repeat of last season's terrible transfer window....

I wasn't impressed with him from what I saw in the Euros, I would prefer to see us get someone who is already proven in this league

I'm just not sure he can ever fully replace Robin van Payme. It's more likely we will have the three good strikers instead of one excellent one. Which will still be ok.

Yes. Very strong player and clearly gets the goals but his link up play is also class.

The biggest necessity is a creative player to replace what RVP provided. We have Giroud and Podolski now, we need someone to replace his creative side.

If we do that we'll be better than last season. Too often Van Persie was trying to both at the same time.

Were you impressed with RVP or any of our other players in the Euros? Right...

    I know, that's why I said linked.

Altbouli, Lewandowski scored a good goal in the Euros. Remember Poland only got two goals in the whole tournament. He also had a 30 goal season for Dortmund, so he has my vote.

Just hoping for a proven goal scorer, also more game time for the Ox who I hope will continue to flourish.
