http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...tenham-agree-fee-Real-Madrid-Luka-Modric.html So in the end, Levy only gets £25m for Modders. His stubborness has cost the club
If true this would be a big suprise, thought Levy was better than this. Potential 15 million loss in a year for a player who has just come off the back of a solid Euros, that's going some!! If they need a replacement, they can have Meireles for 20 mill!!
Shouldn't we wait to see if it's true first? I know the Daily Mail are an unimpeachable source but............
I think Modric made a big enough difference for Spurs to finish where they did last season, would they have finished as high without him? I don't think so meaning they would have lost money there at the very least selling him mid season would have been a dumb idea with what he brings to the table. £25 Mil is the right price, i dont think they would have lost out on a massive amount tbh but they are going to miss him this season, he is a class player who is as irreplaceable to spurs as Alonso was the Liverpool.
If they had negotiated with us last summer they would have got around 35million way before end of the window and could have re-invested the money. They may have even got third with a couple of new signings and made 3rd/C.L and we know the money that can bring. So, Levy may have actually cost spurs more like 25 million!!
I thought we were pushing this through mid season sorry... Heads all over the place today.. in which case, maybe he did make a poor call.
If true then it 'll be £15m less (according to Harry) on what you offered last year. However If we'd sold him last year it would have been to you and who knows maybe you'd have come above us in the league in which case everyone would be slaughtering Levy for caving in to you and you'd probably be writing articles claiming we'd sold you 4th spot so he can't really win. Also by selling him abroad at least he won't be strengthening a potential rival. Finally £25m won't include add ons so it's bound to be more in the long run but even if not it is still a £10m profit on the £15m we paid for him when no one else was prepared to so it's hardly a bad business/ money decision.
I'd dismiss it as bollocks purely due to the source but it doesn't sound too farfetched seeing as it's been so long since Madrid made another bid. If this news that Alonso is rejected a new deal is true then Madrid may just pay Spurs what they want.
What is that supposed to mean? Are you genuinely interested in our chairman's religious heritage and or beliefs or are you making some tight jew stereotype? If it's the former the answer (I think) is yes ... if it's the later you are clearly an unfunny racist **** who should **** off a board for football fans and join one dedicated to racist ****s
Why ... cos I hate racists who hide behind their keyboards? This is a football forum not a forum for racist scum who think it's ok to slag people off for the awful crime of being Jewish. You do realise that scum like you are hated by all decent football fans don't you? You're an embarrassment to CFC. In short it's not me that needs to **** off or who is acting like a tosser. Leave the racism back in the 80's or your head and stop polluting our forum with it.
with all due respect take up the issue with the racist prick who likes anti Jewish digs mate...We all should challenge this ****...it has no place in football
