I watched an episode of the overlap when Gary Neville interviews him. Woerdnhownid built up an opinion of him based on everyone complaint about how he’s run spurs. He actually came across really well
You’re right, he did. Best run club in the EPL according to Kieran McKenna. McKenna actually said Levy doesn’t want to win trophies because it would actually cost the club more.
I thought he came across well on the whole but his opposition to the regulator was the usual tone-deaf stuff from someone at the top table.
I think it is fair to say off the field he did a great job, the stadium etc was a great success. For the fans though, his tenure on the field was less successful..
**** 'em, the oh too easily offended, and plod, have overplayed their hand and pushback eventually takes place. As ever, the pendulum is too far to one side and should move to the centre, it ends up going too far the other way. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
That's a bit heavy handed, but it's probably for the optics given Levy is Jewish, and Hitler was mentioned. It probably wouldn't have been a blip on the radar if it was anyone other than Hitler. Frankly though, any Spurs fan who complains about the way Levy operates the club is a spoiled whiny ****.
Their financial and marketable value is far higher than what they've won over the last three decades, relative to Leicester, for example. Clearly been run well from a financial perspective, but fans/supporters want success and big money signings. a big question is.. would supporters rather see an Acun-gambled city win the champions League/PL, then go bust and start again, or an Ehab-style fiscally responsible club that bounces between league one and the championship.. longevity via mediocrity or a one shot spunk it up the wall. I'm well over half way, so would accept the one off!
