Levon Helm.

I learned today that the wonderful musician Levon Helm, drummer from "The Band" lies close to death. The ravages of cancer are laying waste to him. Rest easy Levon.

So bloody cruel. What must it have been like for the last 10+years?

 

Tried three times to send message. Succeeded at last.

I saw a doco on Levon which was amazing. I've been a huge fan of The Band since the very early days and still give their music a going over on Youtube. Approaching midnight and have an early start tomorrow. So off to bed. Take it easy mate.

 

They'll be playing the Last Waltz for Levon soon then. God bless.
