Levante striker Kone keen to hear from Sunderland

Sunderland and West Bromwich Albion are chasing Levante striker Arouna Kone.

The Mirror says Kone has snubbed a £6million move to Russian club Rubin Kazan - because he is desperate to play in the Premier League.

West Brom and Sunderland are interested, but both value the 28-year-old at around £2m.

Bargain at 2m, we will be robbing them at that price

Far superior than what we have and if he does come I would be very happy

8 Mil for Wickham who was always one for the future was a good buy

2 Mil for Kone is incredibly cheap still though I admit, and I would go to £4 Mil

Where does it say he's keen to hear?

He cost Sevilla £!2million, and had a belting season for Levante.

African strikers that aren't Gyan or Kalou have been excellent Prem performers, so yeah, I'd take him.

Big, physical lad, by the looks of it too. We need that.

    Not for me.
Even in Syds show reel, apart from a couple of times it doesn't look like he hits the ball cleanly.
Looks big and brave when going for headers mind!

Could be worth a punt at 2 mill if nothing better is available.

As for Wickham I have seen nothing that warranted that ridiculous 8 million paid for him.

His situation is very bizarre because he's now a Levante player proper so can he actually move to a 3rd club in two years right now?

It's 2 in a season, effectively Levante being his first, they signed him on the pre-agreed terms, I believe, and as the poorest team in La Liga will likely cash in.

I have seen quite a bit of Kone and I can't really see him giving us anything 'special' or being a 'next level' player.

Granted he is better than what we have now, but that isn't enough for me, we need a 15 goal a season striker and that's not him.

17 in la liga last year and took a middle of the road team to Europe. African strikers had a knack of doing that last year
