I posted in a comment in the "Friday night is music night" thread a few weeks ago, and said I was struggling a bit....well, quite a bit if truth were told. The replies I got from it were very uplifting, and really helped....more than I could ever imagine tbh. I also had numerous pm''s which I will be ever grateful for....you know who you are, and I can't thank you enough. At the time I had just said goodbye to another one of my dogs, my Border Collie, Charlie, and my lovely mother in law was at deaths door, and who has since passed, with her funeral on Wednesday. My son, who I haven't seen for 4 years, returned from Thailand in time to say goodbye his Grandma, and it has been an absolute joy to have him home again, I just wish it was under better circumstances. He is going back next Friday, and though I will miss him again, I can take comfort knowing he is totally at peace with the life he has there. As I said, the replies and pms I received to my post were so uplifting, I thought I would post a thread not only to say thank you, but also somewhere that anyone could post if they just wanted "to talk".....about anything. I've sat and had a few beers with the wife, the lad (who has just gone bed), and my little princess daughter, who I can't believe is 21 next month, and my other son who was 29 yesterday. We've had a nice reminiscing night, and playing old tunes on YouTube....a good night we will all remember. I just wanted to say Thank You to you all on here, you really are a loving bunch of bastards, even if some of you are mags and are **** at wordle!! Seriously though....Thank You. And whatever else you do, please just talk.
Wise words mate, too many of us feel that it's unmanly to talk about ****. We're our own worst enemies at times. Glad you got to see your son. Mines in the States and i haven't seen him in 10 years
