Hi guys - after that lot, looking forward to next season like you wouldn't believe - seriously. <ok>

Now the dust has settled and we all know where we're going to play, it's time to renew old forum acquaintances in the true spirit of the game. Both in the same division again it means each other's results are more meaningful in the context of our relative success in the table. Hoping for some decent chat on both our forums with the odd barb thrown in now and again for good measure. :emoticon-0105-wink:

Now is there anyone in our squad coming down that you'd like, and is there anyone in your squad who we can buy and sit on the bench all season? <laugh>

Welcome back, according to Johnson we are going to be very bold in the market next season.
Interesting to see Bobby Reid playing for you in the championship next season and weather he can replicate that for your team.
One thing for sure you ain’t going to get 10 million for him.
Us we wait with baited breath on the so called bold incomings.i think we will see four or five leave us and hopefully improving players arrive.
Next season looks a lot weaker in the championship than the current teams in here.

£10M was a fair price - just Warnock didn't know how to use him. <ok>

You mean that Cardiff, Fulham and Huddersfield will not be as good as the three that go up?

Marley Watkins is rumoured to be available, I think £10 million should do it. I’m sure Warnock would be interested.

Surprised at Fulham being favourites. Think they'll see a big turnover of players. A lot of what they've got won't enjoy Saturday, Wednesday, Saturday of hard graft.
And stoke, 16th to top 2? They'll have to unload players to meet FFP as well.

If you brizzle boys continue the steady progress of the last couple seasons, you should expect a top 6 finish, so better than the current odds.
Johnson staying would show unusual loyalty from an owner. Don't see why not.

Just hope our manager is sorted quickly. Ambivalent about Colin. Can't say I'd be unhappy either way. Needs sorting quickly so appropriate signings can be made.

Looking forward to reviving the banter.

That list doesn't include the three clubs in the playoffs who won't make it.

Any 3 out of Leeds, Brom, Villa and Derby will have a big say in it next season - gonna be very interesting.

RR - I expect you're basing that on Stoke and Swansea this season - I wouldn't if I were you. Huddersfield and Fulham are far better sides than their relegation would suggest. If they hang on to their players for next season (that's the big question), they'll both finish in or around the top 6 - write them off at your peril.

As for Cardiff, it'll depend a lot on who manages us next season. We virtually know the players who wont be with us and those that will. If Warnock stays in the job and recruits along the same lines as the last time we were in the Championship, we'll be in the mix as well.

The unknown factor is whether Tan and Co. decide that a change of management direction is required then it could go any way - probably in much the same way as yourselves with Johnson.

It’s too early for this - there will be a lot of transfer activity over the coming months which could change those odds dramatically.

Fair enough Chepstow - I'm also here to talk about you though.

Any ideas how much rope is left on Johnson's tether for Lansdown to pay out, or will he jump first?

I reckon it's either down to increased sheep flatulence or the burning off of the wurzel crop.

Depends, if he does not get the funds he requires I would think he will leave, whilst stocks are high. However he does come from a family of Fulham fans so may be tempted before agreeing funds.
