Now it looks Pearson is off, we need our board to keep strong and not let him return to pick the club apart. We need to keep hold of our key players such as Chester, Hobbs, Koren, Stewart and Fryatt, and when he inevitably comes sniffing for them in January we need to give him a straight f off and minimum 5 million price tags.

Pearson leaving isn't the end of this club, but we need a competent manager who suits the players and to keep our squad together. The Allams aren't going to chuck millions into rebuilding the team and I hope they offer Pearson an improved contract and budget (even though with asking to talk to them the door will already be firmly shut behind him).

We don't have the time to rebuild again, this squad is our future and we need to keep them together and their heads high.

I'd love it to be Di Matteo, but I suspect the first person to get a call will be McClaren.

Lets be honest I think the chances of us figuring out who it is are 2nd to none. We were all 99% sure it was Dave Jones coming to us then one morning the club released a statement saying we'd signed Pearson. I think both Dave Jones and Billy Davies are good shouts though, I doubt Coyle would come but with his job in jeopardy he's a great manager and would love him here. 2 others I wouldn't mind are Brian Laws and Gary Megson ;)

Lets be honest here, we're not going to find much better than Chester, Rosenior and Stewart in their respective positions in this league. Lets just hope the lads pull together and keep each other here.

4 months ago, Nigel Pearson was a bad manager. At the moment he is a good manager (apparently. 5 defeats in a row will make him a bad manager again. The revovling door continues to revolve and maybe we are ready for a change ourselves? I personally would like him to stay cos I think he is building summat good. But maybe someone else can take what he has built a step further. It's football you know.

Why would Di Matteo leave Chelsea to come here?

That's what I'm trying to say, but Pearson will surely come back with his mega bucks and pick our squad apart by taking our key players. That's why I want the board to stand up and tell him to sod off unless he wants to spend his entire £8m budget on one player. We have a great team here already, one or two additions and we're made for promotion, a positive thinking attack minded manager would only strengthen that view, our defence are as solid as a rock it's about getting the goals flowing now.

Sadly I have to agree with you. I'd love to have him here but didn't mention his name as I think the chances are next to nothing. Can't we tell Leicester to hold off until Coyle gets the sack?

Because AVB is the Chelsea manager and RDM is just a member of the coaching staff?

Where's there been any confirmation NP wants to speak to anybody? All I've seen is the HDM report, and their source could be the Leicester fans on this board for all we know, they've certainly got a history of using message boards as their sources of information because I spent half a season back when we were in D3 seeing how many transfer stories would appear in the HDM a couple of days after I came up with names off the top of my head.

The kids may feel totally let down IF PEARSON LEAVES. Like a parent running out for a better life. I dont think he would be back as Leicester will want named players from the PL. Nigel could be walking into a fireStorm and a nice payoff next summer when he gets sacked. For sure that is the outcome if Leicester dont go up next May. Who wants that pressure and the Leicester fans are well split on this issue. Some want Sven back, Many want O'Neil. Pearson was not even in the top end of list. They appear desperate and NP is a desperate short gap appointment. I would be surprised if any of the players brought in would want to follow somebody who is un-reliable and could well be gone by next summer. Time to watch and wait for something to happen. So far its just media speculation and message boards.

I'd change your signature to Fryatt. McLean, for the most part, has been hitting the majority of his shots on target recently. Fryatt however <laugh>

Pearson has money behind him though, money talks, and looking after people? He could easily treble any wage within our squad without a problem. Couple that with the ambition Leicester are showing, although I'd agree it would be a backward step for any of our players besides Rosenior or Koren, once (if) they get promotion, none of the kids could expect to get a game ever again.

No chance on Di Matteo he wont leave Chelsea. I would like Nick Barmby myself and somebody like Terry Venables to help him out.

McClaren is not a bad choice, but as as assistant more than a manager. Barmby knows the game and has the respect of the squad. He would be a great choice. Has good contacts in the game as well. But lets wait eh ? Nigel has not gone as far as i know yet.!

I've got it until he gets his 10th of a Championship season. It's alright getting them on target, but there's not many (for either of them) doing the job they're meant to do. I can take a few bruises and still live. ;)

Just to add to my previous comment about why Di Matteo would move, Brendan Rodgers left them for the Watford job.

Pearson was 3rd on my list at the start

O'Neill first but i never thought he would come back, Mark Hughes 2nd and Nigel 3rd

But i would of been happy with any of them

We told you about Fryatt, he is a confidence player pure and simple

He doesnt react well to pressure either, when confident he will score a hatful but when he isnt he cant hit a barn door
