. . . If Tiote did leave and we got a nice 15 million + for him would you be unhappy ? I know it's a silly question as you would be, but it is a 12 million + profit for him. And if Pardew is allowed a big chunk of that 35 million, then it's more money for summer transfers. ( If Ashley allows it, yes i know )

Last summer we were linked with a dutch lad called Leroy Fer. He looks a quality midfielder and he's scored 11 goals in 86 games for Feyenoord, so he can chip in with the odd goal and he's only 21.

I would be gutted if Tiote left as he is an outstanding player, and if we want to get back to challenging for a European place then we do need to keep a consistent top performers.

Your views and opinions are appreciated.

    Prediction for tonight : Birmingham 1 - Newcastle 1 ( Gardener 33 , Nolan 72 )

No I would not, he is worth way more than 15 mil, and we can not get a player as good or better for that price. If and only if he asked to leave then I'd demand 30mil.

We can sign Leroy Fer without selling Tiote. Plus if he bangs in the goals doesn't seem a good replacement for Tiote tbh.

    I value Tiote at £20m+

Mike Ashley, despite being a dick, does often get good money for our players. So I'd be gutted if he went for less than £20m

Agreed, in today's current market, Tiote should be valued at least at £20mil.

I still would be, unhappy that is. To me Tiote is more crucial to our play then Carroll was. Selling him would be a step backwards in my opinion. If we can keep him over the summer, get a couple good strikers in, then have a cheeky push for Europe next year ;)

wouldnt matter anyway if he came in and did well, hed only get bought next summer by a team that can flash there money about, its a shame teams cant keep there best players for years on end like it used to be

If we spend the Carroll money wisely we will have a team good enough to match our top players ambitions (Europe), a few of them are easily good enough to play at the top level and IMO any of our fully fit strongest matchday squad 18 could play in the Europa League comfortably enough.

It would be a an absolute joke if he was sold. What the hell is the point? You find a TOP CLASS defensive midfielder for cheap, you sell him and then buy someone for (probably) significantly more who isn't as good. If you have any sort of ambition to improve then it's utterly backwards.

Know why people want to buy Tiote? Because he's a top player and they want to improve their team. We already have that top player, so we should appreciate the fact that we got a hold of him for cheap and keep him to maintain the quality of the team.

He is a defensive player. Gets compared to Viera and looks like a machine. I agree with what you said though!
