On the back of today's ghastly performance against Chelsea, I intend to pick our most average player, namely Tom Cleverly. Once, even compared to Fabregas (laughably), I've run out of patience with him. I have to be honest, he reminds me of a player, had I seriously pursued football. Just simple pass and move, but not strong on the ball, not much technical ability, defensive skill next to none, making passes not because he sees an opening but passing the responsibility of the ball, and about shoot, lol. It may not be many United supporter's cup of tea to criticise our own players but in my opinion, self-criticism and self-analysis can help us steer clear of turning into a club like some of our rivals. Anyway, I want to start a thread where we list the most average players from every PL clubs, no personal vendetta, just pure critical analysis please. For a start, Man Utd: Cleverly Man City: Barry, Javi Garcia Liverpool: Henderson, Downing Arsenal: Mertesacker Chelsea: Obi Mikel
United = Young City = Garcia Spurs = Dempsey and Sigurdsson Chelsea = Mikel Arsenal = Gervinho, Ramsey and Mertesacker Liverpool = Borini and Downing
Man Utd: Young, Valencia, Nani, Scholes Man City: Milner, Barry, Aguero L'Pool: Borini, Allen, Skrtyl, Reina Arsenal: Gervinho, Mertesacker, TV, Arteta Chelsea: Torres, Marin, Mikel, Luiz Based on form this season anyway
United - Nani, Jones. City - Rodwell, Sinclair, Nasri. Chelsea - Torres, Luiz. Arsenal - Gervinho, Ramsey. Liverpool - Allen, Downing.
Adebayor, how he gets 115k/week is beyond me. Ramsey, henderson, sagna, oscar, ba, balotelli (not PL but I just think he is so overrated), Reina to name a few Whoops forgot Utd: Young, Valencia and a few months ago I would have said Welbeck too but he has really done well recently so I will hold judgement on that one for now
Jamie Carragher has to be one of the worst players to have ever played the game, and it is no coincedence that no England manager has ever rated him. Fat useless scouse piece of ****
Nothing against Wales but have to agree that Joe Allen (Rodger's Xavi) and Ramsey have to be the worst ones. But I don't think Milner is that bad regardless of his limited ability. Work rate next to none, and quite good at passing and crossing.
