Lets move on to Tuesday now then with a team that didnt create anything worthwhile today, a midfield that did not attack with its usual speed, a forward line that got out muscled, fans full of frustration, is it really worth going ? Crystal Palace ? well lets hope we come out a totally different side and play like we know Hull city can play, attacking down both wings, crosses from the by line, a midfield outplaying the opposition, of course its worth going but we have got to be 100% better and have a real go at them<ok>

Really don't want to lose twice in a week. Just part of being a City supporter though, you never really know how its going to go, playing brilliant football one week and then the exact same team giving the ball away all the time the next week. We do seem to play well against top teams though so hopefully it will be a better performance. Still in 5th so no need to panic.

No panic but we should keep our eye on the gap to second rather than settling for a potential play off position thus early in the season. We need to aspire to automatic and settle for play offs.

Bad day at the office today - Roll on Tuesday. As for the play-off / automatic debate, I seem to remember that we lost 3-1 at home to West Brom in the January of the season we got promoted to the PL. That defeat left us 10th in the table but we came within a whisker of 2nd place thereafter. No need to panic or lower our sights yet.

Tuesday will be a totally different game. Two proper footballing sides. Hopefully we'll have too much for them.

Hopefully. I said to people during the game that I'd rather lose playing the way we (normally) do than win games the way Burnley approach playing us every bloody year. NP got criticised for being negative, but he had nothing on Burnley. If it had even been close to the pathetic manner of Burnley's play I'd have packed in the season ticket at the end of the first season down from the PL, because I sure as hell wouldn't have been paying the money and spending the time to travel to watch us waste time from kickoff.

Completely agree. Though tbh I didn't think Burnley had been like that before. I mean yeah I hate them because they always beat us but before today I thought they were always quite attacking and played with two proper strikers and two out-and-out wingers. Agree about the NP comparison also. I never actually thought his style of play was that negative, just his boring demeanour in interviews and such. Teams like Burnley today, Watford last season and worst of all, QPR in early 2007 were far worse.

It's almost like the team treat games like fans on here do and end up getting punished for it.

I've noticed when people on here are confident we lose... when we think we're going to get battered the team do quite well. This is obviously just my obseervation.

Today just goes to show how tight this league can be. Anyone can beat anyone on their day, we just need to make sure we have more good days than others. Losing this game is no problem at all. Hopefully we do the traditional run of wins come the end of February. Shoul leave us looking pretty good come May. All depends on what happens over December and January for me.

Burnley have done it as long as I can remember. That sub keeper they had today that used to be their first choice was always just as bad as Grant was today. Plus they brought in that Kiraly from Palace for a few years, and he used to play in his pyjama bottoms so he could have a nap between us missing a shot and him taking the goal kick (one time when he was playing for Palace I literally fell asleep and woke up again before he'd taken one). Probably the only time from when we got promoted from L1 to now that they didn't play like that at the KC was the 4-1 when Kilbane opened the scoring.

I'm kind of expecting some kind of banner to be unfurled when we visit Turf Moor - "7 wins and counting......." It's just a joke now.

However on another thread, (forgotten which), I did confidently predict we'd lose to Burnley but beat Palace........<nervous now>
