Throughout the whole season we have talked about focusing on our own performances and trying to maximise our points. This got us in the position of being top of table come Christmas 2013. And allowed us to go on an unbeaten run quite recently.

However the last couple of weeks have been different. There has been tension around the grounds and the focus has not been on our opponents and our performances but "giving us hope" and our title challenge.

Our team has responded negatively to this. We almost suffered a scare again Norwich last week due to our players taking there eyes of the ball and inviting pressure in the 2nd half. Today against Cheslea we started of strong but after a mistake from our captain things changed; We panicked with players like Gerrard and Allen uncharacteristically loosing there composure and shooting at range wasting our opportunities. Instead of focusing on playing our own game and breaking down the opposition we panicked and simply charged at the opposition.

I feel the players, the club and us the fans have all contributed to this. Instead of focusing on our own performances we have now started to look at other challenging clubs and have recently got in to mini banter battles with opposition fans. Let's stop this! Let's focus on our own game rather than those around us. (I admit I am guilty of anxiously watching the city game today)

Two games left. What do we want? Two wins, forget about everyone else :)

Not sure about that. The players and Rodgers are taking it a game at a time, the fans were just trying to fire the team up with confidence. The only people I saw genuinely calling us title contenders, or saying that it was in our hands or that it was ours to lose were the useless journos and others in the media. They were the ones bigging us up.

Did the players listen to them? Perhaps so...but I wouldn't blame the fans for it.
