What if we lose our next 2 difficult matches away from Ashton Gate? We must all agree that these 2 fixtures could define our season, not unlike the time we played Wolves away last year and we know what happened after that.

By my reckoning if we lose these 2 away games that will leave us needing to get close to 1.4 points/game and realistically I am not confident we have a squad in place to reach those lofty goals. I appreciate that we like to think things are starting to go our way but once we get in to February still lingering in the relegation zone the task will start to get harder as the pressure mounts. Hopefully we have players lurking in the shadows who will step up and save us but time is becoming of the essence.

A lot of you have made the comment that we have games in hand and a supposedly easier fixture list in the latter part of this season but I don't think we have the right to expect teams to fall over when they face the mighty Bristol City, because as the promotion and relegation spots tighten up towards the end of the season anything can, and will, happen that surprises everyone.

How nice it would if we were one of the surprises and won both of our next 2 games to rise up the table and ease some of our pains. Who knows?

We never win at Wolves so we might as well count that one out already but Brentford I think we CAN beat....

Any points from these 2 will be welcome and how shocked we would be if it was SIX! Dare to dream Rodney.

Any points from these 2 games is a huge ask.
We led at WW last year and screwed it up but we never get anything there.
Brentford are on fire and so I'm afraid its 0 points from 6 for us.
However we have the likes of Oldham, Crewe, Shrewsbury and Carlisle still to play. We'll be ok..............

    I hope !

Any points a bonus - maybe despite our desperate need for points, the performance is important

Performances in both are important even if we lose both games which is more than a distinct possibility

February we have must win home games against Carlisle, Coventry and Tranmere and we will need to get points at Oldham and possibly Orient and/or Sheff Utd
We need at least 12 points from the month.

I still maintain there are many more than 4 worse clubs in this league than us, but we need to start winning games. Draws are fine away but we have to win our home games.

Does anyone else have to wait forever for the fixture list and league table to load on bcfc.co.uk ?????

I have us down to beat Wolves today (!) but lose by the only goal at Brentford.
I would be happy with that, or even a couple of draws. I think we have the tools to avoid the drop this time

    Tuesday..

Brentford only team odds on to win,, whilst City longest odds against winning 11/2!!! ......£55 quid for a tenner...

a draw would be good, if not a miracle!
