I really think they will do it, and if we can get a win on Saturday even better. QPR have what it takes to beat them and it's a must win game. So let's hope they get back-to-back losses to West London teams. What are they saying now? They were saying that Barca were going to pump us 7-0 etc on agg, breaking the record for an aggregate defeat by an English club in CL. Spurs still hold the record, a 5-0 owning by Real. Some achievement when they've only entered the comp once. I guess we'll have to wait another 50 seasons until that record is broken. 1961/2, 2011/12.... 2059/60!
Really hope Qpr give the spuds a beating. be nice for the spuds to be put in their place still further. If they lose at the weekend it will start to make a mockery of their "easy run in". The way they talked it was a procession to 3 points week in and week out at the end of the year. Funny how all their fans now look silly for predicting such things...
It will be great for QPR to beat Spurs then Arsenal lose against Chelsea which means Tottenham will be 5th and Chelsea 4th
I'm hoping for a 3-2 win that would take us above the Spuds on goals scored, so even if they drew vs QPR we'd still be above them barring something ridiculous like a 4-4 or 3-3 draw
Don't get too carried away mate I think there has been a kind of warming of relations between arsenal and chelsea fans on this board over the last few weeks as the spuds have been the wipping boys. I have a feeling that will come to an abrupt end this weekend! I mean I did breifly get on ok with the scouse fans but then the match at anfield happened and it has been downhill ever since! Should be some good cross board banter going over the weekend I think its a big test for us. If we can beat you then I really think 3rd is in the bag. I cant see spuds getting more than 7 points the rest of the year so we should be fine for 3rd if we can get 3 points vs you. And you will be tired and distracted after your last week or so. It is inevitable. I hope we can capitalise.
It would go to the last day if that happened IMO. If Chelsea win the early game, everybody from Arsenal downwards has to start looking over their shoulders.
Put it this way I did the BBC predictor a month ago and had all four teams in 70 points. Had you beating Swansea, drawing at Sunderland, beating Norwich and losing to QPR so somewhere along the line you will need to make up the points to stand a chance. Chelsea need a minimum of 4 wins and a draw. The points dropped at Fulham mean we can only afford one more slip up.
You might get more of us on here making constructive comments if you actually called us Spurs rather tha Spuds, scum or bottlers!
In a funny sort of way , I think the Spuds big loss of form recently may well give the Queens a chance of 3 precious points! However we have a score to settle with them at the Bridge so they wont be getting any more points from us!
Doesn't make a difference as I had Arsenal to lose to Man City and they won so swap those results round and still on target. We will need to make up the lost points vs Fulham at home to Newcastle.
