After tonight's 1-0 win against Stoke, Burnley move up to 4th in the Premier League. A proper club run by a proper manager - well done Mr Dyche. I hope that you keep dumfounding the pundits.
You beat me to it. I was just about to do a thread about them aswell. Massive respect to them as a club - a proper run football club who deserve every success that they get. It's a team that plays old school 442 week in week out with no star players, who all give 100 percent for each other.
I think a big well done to the owners of Burnley as they could of easily have sacked Dyche after their relegation from the Premership, but they kept with him. The end of season plaudits will go to Pep and possibly that boring **** at Manure, but Dyche just keeps on doing it. If Burnley finish mid table it's an achievement, but so far its outstanding - long may it continue.
It reminds me a bit of our time under Reidy, we got relegated under him the first time we went up. We stuck with him though and reaped the rewards. Stability, longevity, no big time Charlies and players willing to give 100%. You won't go far wrong if you tick all of them boxes.
Agree with all above, it's great to see a team like Burnley doing well. They are by no means flash,or exciting. Just honest and hard working. And to think they sold 2 of their better players before the start of the season Michael Keane to Everton for £25.65 m Andre Gray to Watford for £18.36 m Hats off
Absolutely and now we could be near to a right set up and have Coleman's know how. Could see a surprisingly good recovery post Christmas and maybe with a cup run.
Boring little club, 4th in the league and still a half empty ground. Imagine what your stadium would look like if you were 4th in the league.
Admire what they have done, but they are a club with way more than their fair share of village idiots in their fanbase, so mixed feelings for me..
I've been away to England games a few times. Burnley, Stockport & Scunthorpth were pretty naughty boys.
