Pick 1 player from Liverpool's history who you think could seriously improve the current Liverpool team.

Dont just pick your favourite player, pick who you think would fit in best and make the biggest positive difference.

Also say where you would play them and who you would play them with, and why.

I'd start off, but I havnt actually decided my own choices yet aha. I only thought up this idea a matter of seconds before making it.

I'm expecting a lot of people to pick goal scorers....

Fowler with the chances created at the moment. Barnes other than that.

    Igor Biscan!!!

Seriously... We need Ian Rush back in the team. Someone who knows where the goal is and knows how to put the ball in to it

Robbie Fowler, Ian Rush, Roger Hunt, King Kenny the one thing these guys all have in common? (Aside from being absolute legends) they all knew how to put the ball in the back of the net.

    Wouldnt mind Alonso back

    3 candidates:

Dalgliesh - how could he not be a very great addition to any Liverpool side?

Johnny Barnes - the silky smooth skills that pierces defences and either delivers incisive passes or has the baility to finish a move off himself. He offers a skill set that we presently lack.

Peter Thompson - a winger with pace and ball control to surpass anybody playing presently in the Premiership. He also had a visicious shot.

Soooooooo many we could choose. I think Fowler would be mine though.
We could do with the fox in the box type at the mo, who never misses, and I think Robbies goals to shots ratio was even better than the legendary Rushie and Sir Rog

Many others I could choose who would help though, such as Digger,Stevie Mc,Emlyn,Stevie Heighway,Souey,Beardsley,Aldo,Cally(crosser for Carroll),McDermott(goals from midfield),R Kennedy

Owen; in his prime he'd be putting away so many chances with Suarez.

    Robbie for me <ok>

But a little bit of Sami wouldn't go amiss either <laugh> (even just his left leg would do)

Oh and Alonso as well....with an occasional cameo from Stevie Heighway <whistle>

Are you sure we're only allowed one because frankly I could replace pretty much every one of our current crop given the choice.

Peter Thompson is a good shout from Dave (my 'arl fella always said he was the best player he ever saw at Anfield) and Dalglish, Rush, Hunt, Liddell, Barnes, Beardsley, Aldo, Yates, Souness, Biscan, McMahon, Houghton, Hansen, Smith etc etc etc etc all go without saying really...but I've said them anyway <ok>

Only one player fits the bill - The Great Igor. Without Gerrard he'd be running games from midfield.

But on a serious note, from players I have watched it would have to be Fowler. Suarez & Fowler would create/score so many between them.
